Well it has been about a year since I was diagnosed with Adult ADHD... Really Adult ADHD?? Now here is my question... If I have Adult ADHD does this mean I did not have it as a child? Because I am pretty sure it is a neurological disease and I am pretty sure I have had these symptoms my whole life... Is it because I finally tried to figure it out and had myself tested as an adult ?? I am just not sure.... Not that it really matters but I had a very difficult time having doctors believe me. I even changed doctors because she told me that other doctors would have picked it up and there is no way I could have graduated from college and be in a masters program if I had ADD...... Are you kidding me?? She even suggested I go to my children's pediatrician and work with her. :)
Did any one else have trouble being diagnosed? Did you have to jump through hoops for the medical field to believe you??
I am just happy that I finally have some answers !!
